Where my love of florals and landscapes meet the canvas
Galatians 5:22-23
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives:
love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
Rooted in creativity and guided by her faith, Mary Beth Mulone is an acrylic painter known for her textured floral works that bring warmth, beauty, and purpose into any space.
At the heart of her process is something unseen but deeply intentional. Before the first layers of paint, Mary Beth begins by writing words of inspiration directly on the canvas, from scripture, to the Fruits of the Spirit, to motivational and uplifting words of encouragement. Though hidden beneath the final composition, they serve as the spiritual foundation of every piece.
Mary Beth received her Bachelors from Nazareth College of Rochester in Speech Therapy and a Masters of Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Through her time as a speech therapist, teacher of children with special needs, and administrator, Mary Beth always stayed busy with home projects and beautifying her home. After stepping away from education, in 2016 she opened a retail store in Palm Harbor, Florida called The Painted Pear. What started as a space to sell painted furniture evolved into a home decor and gift shop, tripling the store size in the first 2 years. Her ability to create beautiful spaces for the home caught the eye of the Tampa CBS affiliate, where she hosted a recurring home decor segment on their morning show, even decorating their set for the seasons and holidays.
Always keeping her artistic spirit moving, Mary Beth began painting canvases for the store to correlate with vignettes. When it was time to close the chapter of The Painted Pear, she kept her paint brush full and hasn't stopped since. She'll tell you she isn't self-taught, she's God taught. And she's grateful for His grace, His mercy, and His love.
